Practice, time trials and beautiful Italian countryside

Early start and lots of car time today. The Ferrari California is an incredible machine- fast comfortable and an IPod connection! Driving through the beautiful northern Italian courtside with top down and the music blaring- we felt a little like Rodney Dangerfield pulling up in front of Birdwood country club in Caddyshack.  Time trials consisted of practicing lining up the front tires with the rubber hose start and finishing back in 30 seconds within a few hundredths of a second. It sounds easy but it’s a national obsession of Italian drivers and precision is essential to move toward the podium. Our teams lead car took second last year out of over 400 cars and is favored to win this year. Day was capped off with a lakefront 7 course winemaker’s dinner. Life is good!
